You may know it from its iconic building at the corner of Ponce de Leon and Moreland avenues, but the heart of RE/MAX Metro Atlanta is broker/owner Donna Armstrong, who recently renewed the RE/MAX franchise. RE/MAX Metro Atlanta (www.RealEstateOfAtlanta.com) is one of the oldest franchises in the RE/MAX system, opening for business in Atlanta in 1979.
Armstrong, who was first licensed in real estate in 1989, joined RE/MAX Metro Atlanta soon after. "Having the RE/MAX brand and power behind that brand is tremendous," she says, "so this team wants to continue what we have been doing for 32 winning seasons."
In those 32 years, RE/MAX Metro Atlanta has made numerous improvements to its offices and business operating systems to accommodate the increasing number of agents who have flocked to join the successful franchise.
In addition to the office at 1189 S. Ponce De Leon Avenue -- the former home of the Golden Key National Honor Society -- RE/MAX Metro Atlanta has its original office at 1944 Clairmont Road, Decatur, and another at 1027 Monroe Drive on Piedmont Park.
“In real estate it's of course 'location, location, location,' and so it has been with our growth," she says. "We have strategically placed our offices in high-traffic and visible sites on the edge of in-town neighborhoods and near Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control.”
“One of the things I liked about RE/MAX initially was that the structure seemed to be a fair system all across the board, from agents to owners," Armstrong says. "Each owner could run their office independently but had the power of the brand and its advertising to help grow their business. RE/MAX keeps us on the cutting edge, from technology to advertising, to support and knowledge."
